I am a retired primary school principal, for many years I guided school groups.
I frequently guided groups through Roy & Matilda and advised teachers
to prepare their children for a visit to the gallery by a study of your book.
Quite a few took my advice.
I had my own locket on a black ribbon, old tubes of paint and a red pocket
handkerchief. A challenge was created whenever the George Lambert work
was taken off display - we had to find another girl worthy of the locket.
I am sure with the number of grandparents visiting the gallery these days
your book should sell well and many children's guides will learn to value it.
Yours sincerely,
